Explore life on the creative edge! The Eastport ArtFests celebrate our region’s rich cultural heritage with all-ages, all-inclusive interactive art activities, gallery receptions, live music, film, dance, storytelling, puppetry, parades and more.   We partner with local arts and community organizations to present a series of events that are mostly outdoors and free, to welcome and encourage participation by community members and visitors alike.

June 28-30, 2024 - DownEast Pride
Celebrate creativity, inclusivity and Pride in partnership with the Downeast Rainbow Alliance, Lubec Area Musicians Society (LAMPS) and all of our "Partners in Art".  We will welcome back the Curbside Queens drag show and offer rainbow themed art activities for all ages.  Moonilight movie Friday in Eastport.  Events in Eastport all day Saturday and Lubec on Sunday.

August 3, 2024 - Mermaid Festival
Celebrate our creative connection to the sea with the 3rd Annual Mermaid Parade on Saturday August 3rd.  Local artists will help you create mermaid attire, make sea creatures out of beach trash. The "Tales of Quoddy Bay" puppet theater returns, plus live music and more.  Watch for details about parade float making workshops coming in spring.  Even limited edition Mermaid mustard by Raye's Mustard for National Mustard Day!

October 26, 2024 - Witches of Eastport
The Witches of Eastport will return with a dazzling array of all-ages interactive experiences. Pumpkin carving, witches broom, mask and magic wand making, Witches parade, Witches line dance, pumpkin derby race, Halloween contradance and more!  The fun starts at noon downtown Eastport and events will be offered through the evening.

February 9-18, 2024 - Hearts for the Arts show
The 4th annual auction featured 125 pieces by 58 artists with a heart-felt connection to our region.  Auction is closed but you may still view the catalog of beautiful art inspired by our life on the creative edge.  Thanks to all artists and buyers for another successful fundraiser for the ArtFests!
